The Ugly
Josie screaming in pain as she grabs her right ear
Continued crying/screaming/moaning the entire night
The migration of pain to include the left ear
The 2 hours of sleep we both got
The double ear infection diagnosed at Express Care
The Bad
Given the time of night and the day of the week, the ER was our only option and I wasn't willing to take it
Josie's insistence that the only acceptable sleeping position was draped across me in an upright position
Figgy's insistence that the only acceptable sleeping position was also draped across me in an upright position
The lack of a second parent to trade off with
The Good
The late night drug run to Oronoco for numbing drops (thanks a million!)
Grandma's willingness to tag along
Rx for antibiotics and numbing drops
Josie falling asleep in my arms- oh how I've missed that
A nice reminder that my delirious state, aching back/neck and pounding headache are all worth it to make my baby feel better
