Looks like Josie got into some purple eyeshadow! Unfortunately she had a run in with the slide at the park. Dad says she only cried for 30 seconds before asking to go on the swings. Must look worse than it feels!
I have a very long list of things I'd like to blog about plus Josie does something spectacular (or so says her mom) on a daily basis yet its just so easy to fall behind! So a quick update is in order:
Josie loves spring and loves the sandbox. Weather permitting we've been trying to take her to the park every night. Poor girl was asking to go home and go to sleep the other night so maybe we should alternate the park and home to give her a break.
Brent finished his bowling season and is anxious to begin fishing season. He was supposed to participate in the Wisconsin opener this weekend but........
I had my third knee surgery last Tuesday. Turns out my 30 year old knee is aging much faster than the rest of my body. I was prepared for a few days on crutches but a more extensive surgery has me laid up for 6 weeks. The bright side? Miss Josie and her dad are enjoying a lot more quality time together.
We received the sign up sheet for Sunday school. Ah! That means Josie will be three soon!!! I'm excited to have her take part in new experiences but I have a fear of seeing her perform in the Christmas program this year. If you've seen the Elmo guitar video you have an idea of the Christmas idol she'll try to become.
The world lost a wonderful man today and Duane will be deeply missed by all who knew him. I take comfort in knowing that he spent his final day with friends doing what he loved- fishing. I only wish Diana could have been there as well. Our thoughts are with his family during this difficult time. Duane- you were one hell of a guy and I'm thankful for the chance to have known you.
