I can see clearly now...

Actually, I can't. I'm 3 days post refractive surgery (PRK) and everything is still pretty fuzzy and I'm extremely sensitive to light. Hopefully I'll continue to improve each day. It's been a tough weekend!

Under lock and key

Josie often asks me to save my bras for when her boo-boo's get big enough. Yep, you read that right. I usually respond by saying we'll make a special shopping trip to get her own bra and then she forgets about it for a few weeks.

Apparently today she got sick of waiting....

and came prancing downstairs to show me how good it looked. Time to keep them under lock and key!

Must have!

What's a trip to an A&W without a root beer float!

Bonus- it's easy to eat with no teeth.

Thoughts from the pool

Last week while Josie was splashing in the kiddie pool I had the chance to relax with a good book. While reading I couldn't help but overhear a group of teenage girls next to me and their conversations gave me heart palpitations.

OMG! Can you believe that my mom took my phone away for texting at 1AM?
Yes, as a matter of fact I can. And good for her! She deserves mom of the year!!! Some day you'll realize that nothing good comes out of any sort of social media at 1AM.

Ok, I just walked to the concession stand and back. Do you think Brandon noticed me?
Nope, sorry honey. Brandon is over there with his friends competing in the belly flop competition. Give him a year and try again.

Does this bikini top make my boobs look bigger?
Same thing I said about Brandon- give yourself a year or so and try again.

Like, I have to go home and mow the lawn. Isn't that ridiculous?
Like totally! Its also ridiculous that your parents give you food and shelter and clothes. I say you stand up to them and refuse to do it. Its only fair that they pull all the weight around the house.

I lost my iPod and my parents refuse to buy me a new one. They say I have to wait until I make enough money to buy it myself. Lame!
Totally lame. They should rush right out and buy you a new one. Hopefully they don't make you mow the lawn or something too. That would be super lame!

It was about this time that I decided to go wrangle up my almost seven year old and focus on important things- trips down the big water-slide, slush puppies and handstands under water. This other sort of "fun" will come all too soon.
