We all know that Josie has shown some "crazy cat lady" tendencies. 

Now I'm afraid she may be hedging toward "hoarding cat lady". 

At what point do we stage an intervention?

This is an oldie but a goodie! 

Kind of like someone else I know....

Looks like someone had a little trouble with reading and spelling early in the year.....

Luckily she turned it around and got to move up a grade at the end!

Guess who?!?!?

Parent's night was held this week and we found a nice little note from Josie on her desk. 

Then we got read clues and look at drawings to figure out which picture was our child. 

Josie is really enjoying second grade and LOVES her teacher. I think its going to be a great year! 

Like mother, like daughter

Josie came running out of school this afternoon super excited for the weekend. Why? 

"First day of homework. Finally!"

Ruined for life

I was challenging Josie to make her way across the monkey bars. She calmly pointed out that she "fell on her bumper, got hurt and it forever ruined my experience" with monkey bars back when she was 6.

Many people ask if Josie's real name is Josephine and then proceed to comment on how popular old names have become. Turns out we didn't pick it because its popular, we chose it because of another Josephine.

Meet my great-great grandma Josephine.

Believe it or not, I have distinct memories of her.

Josie's middle name comes from her. I have very fond memories of grandma Alice. 

Meet Arturo Gatti. I have no memories of him but this was Brent's top pick for a baby name.
