The olden days

I was walking with Josie tonight and she pointed out an "old fashioned" car. 

I'd hate to see what she thinks of a horse and buggy!

"Mom, what if we're like toys and someone else is controlling us? You know, like how I play with my dolls and make them talk and move. What if someone is doing that to us? We might be someone's toys."

The great fire

Josie enjoyed a day trip out to lunch and then to the Hinckley Fire Museum. 

We headed up to Grand Casino for lunch and then took her over to get a look at the casino. She thought it looked pretty boring and was too smokey. She was not impressed!

We then headed to the fire museum. She was quite interested in the stories, artifacts and history. Also, she's definitely my kid. She took notes throughout the exhibits.
