Finally!

I've been (im)patiently waiting for this. It's so fun to watch her enjoy a sport that has meant so much to our family over the years. Here's to hoping it lasts!

We're all ready for the women's match at 11:00. Josie has her jersey, shin guards, socks, and non-Fifa approved girlie shoes on and is practicing in the backyard. Soon Ted and Lori will arrive and we'll snack on soccer cookies. Let's go ladies!

 Josie: Mom, is Obama going to stay our President?

Me: Well honey, we won't know until after the election. There is another person who wants to be President too and the people get to decide which one they want.

Josie: Well I want Obama. He's done a nice job of taking care of our village.

Last time she thought "BamaCain" would be a good candidate. Maybe as time passes she'll be in favor of "Bomney" or something. Lucky for me she can't vote.........yet.

Freezer craziness

Made quite a mess today, along with 14 freezer meals. Lots of dishes and lots to recycle.

Here's to hoping they taste good!

Or make that a half dozen mice under the stove. Apparently that's where Figgy likes to hide her toys. And the cookie sheet monster hides the missing cookie sheets. And the 70's decorator hides their harvest gold linoleum.

Nothing like blogging from the boat while taking a break from swimming in the lake. Can't wait for Teddy to get here too!

Finally updating with the muskie pictures from our vacation week. 138 inches of muskie in 24 hours- not too shabby!

Due to the heat and neon green color of the lake I don't think we'll be hauling in any muskies this weekend. Maybe we'll do some casting and try to catch Josie in the pool......then again she'd be shorter than the first 2 muskies so it wouldn't be that great of a catch.
